On Saturday October 5, 2019, enjoy a crisp autumnal evening with delicious farm-to-table fare prepared by Chefs’ Consortium at the Arkell Museum in Canajoharie. Local chefs will prepare fall-inspired creations served at tasting stations. Appetizers, salads, soups, main courses, desserts and drinks will be crafted from ingredients sourced from local farms, and New York state products. Local producers to be showcased at the event will include R & G Cheesemakers, Old Chatham Sheepherding Company, Barber’s Farm, Beth’s Farm Kitchen, Schoharie Valley Farms, and Red Barn Produce.
Located in Canajoharie, the Arkell Museum offers an extensive collection of American paintings from 1860–1940, as well as historical exhibits about the history of the Mohawk River Valley and of the Beech-Nut baby food company. Guests at the Harvest Feast will enjoy touring the galleries at the Arkell Museum, all of which will be open during the event.
Proceeds from the Harvest Feast event will support the Arkell Museum’s exhibitions and education programs. There will also be musical performances and silent and live auctions.
